Has anyone done business or heard of Financial Management? I have been called by Financial Management Consultants. They told me they could give me a loan but I would have to buy insurance in the amount of $760.00. I would get this back after I had made 3 months of payments. The Private Lender is asking for this amount of insurance. The reason being because I am such a high risk. Has anyone heard of these people? I saw on the computer a rating for some financial people but unable to find it now. Could someone please help me locate some information on these people? They are on the east coast because of the time difference between me and them.

How can I get ratings on the top financial management companies? I want to make a fairly substantial financial investment, but want to do it in a "smart" way. I want to go with the best choice, for me , that I can possibly find and want to make sure that I make a "safe" choice. There are so many "financial counsellors" out there now that I'm a little scared. I want a "top rated" one in all aspects & need some advice on how to go about finding the right one and weighing all my odds before I make this big switch. I currently have it invested with a private counsellor, but am not happy with the situation I'm in right now. I'm paying substantial fees for the work his company does, & I'm not very satisfied in general. There is no "binding" agreement with them & the way I understand it I'm free to choose another company at any time. In case it makes any difference, I am a widow & don't have a very knowledgable background in financial investing.
What is conservative financial management? Someone please explain in simple terms for a layman? If the current and quick ratios are higher than industrial average, does that automatically make the company a conservative management? Thanks Leftie, I actually do not know what they mean.. never knew conservative management was medical related!
Would the career of Financial management be good for me? I am a junior in college, and my major is finance. I'm not for total sure what I want my future career to be, but I recently was thinking about a Financial Manager. I like to make budgets and manage money so I figure this would be good for me. Where or how can a young person begin to learn about financial management? There is so much information available regarding things like 401k programs, IRAs, taxes, mutual funds, etc, that it can seem a bit confusing and overwhelming, especially when young people often make so little money that it hardly seems worth the effort to bother saving at all. Do you know of any websites or other references that go over these basics in a relatively simple and straightforward manner, so that the average beginner can understand how to manage their finances smartly and responsibly? What would you tell your child about investment and saving when they begin to enter the workforce?
What is the best course of action for this International Financial Management question? Navigation Systems Inc. now has total worldwide revenues of over $500 million forecast for this coming year. You have operations in the United States of $300 million with a 12% ROS (return on sales), operations in Germany of €100 million with a return on sales (ROS) of 11%, and operations in Shanghai, China of 650 million yuan with an ROS of 9%. You expect to repatriate all the ROS to the U.S. when available in 12 months. Determine the spot and 12-month forward exchange rates and determine any change in the ROS repatriated in 12 months based on exchange rates versus the current forecast. Describe the repatriation using a spot transaction, an outright forward, and a foreign-exchange swamp. Would there be any use or benefit in using a currency option or currency swaption? Describe each. How would you advise the company to handle the repatriation?
Is there a case for compulsory financial management? The government interferes in the lives of the tax paying general public in order to redistribute wealth. Yet those on benefits fall further and further into debt. Should the 'government' take complete control of those whose income is more than 50% benefit and impose a rigorous financial regime? Would this 'encourage' those who don't care whilst genuinely helping those who simply find budgeting a difficult 'science'?
Business Administration with Financial Management? My school only offer Bachelor degree in Business Administration. There are concentration options.. although I want to study more about accounting, sadly the option is not there. The best concentration available is Financial management. I just would like to know realistically how easy/hard will it be to find jobs? Can I pass CPA test with just these? Another option is for me to transfer to another school. This other school has Applied Accounting major but the degree they give is "Bachelor of Commerce in Applied Accounting" or "Bachelor of Commerce in Finance". Can I take CPA with this school?
Are there any companies that assist an individual with financial management at ground level? More specifically, I make pretty good money. However, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, some salary fluctuations, and some unexpected family expenses (Medical & Lodging), my bills got off track. I know it may sound stupid, but I just cant seem to get back on track. I feel that I need some kind of help sorting this out. I joined a credit counseling service, but this only seems to be dragging things out, and not getting me anywhere. I am generating money, and have a decent job, but just need help DIRECTING it to pay the bills off faster. Any suggestions would help... Thanks

A good personal financial management site? I have a mate who knows he's a bit crap at looking after his paperwork, late work expenses, ATM slips in a big pile, unclaimed receipts, you know the sort of thing. The issue is not one of cash, it's a subtle and painless behavioural shift required. If I try to help, I'm sure he will "glaze over" - So, does anyone know a free basic/practical advice website that's light and simple enough to follow (maybe even with a bit of humour), with useful and practical tips on managing personal finances, so he might get the enthusiasm to sort out the bills and paperwork?
