- Making rules and regulations that control government or society, whether it be for one's self or the benefit of others. Great example of all would be Pinckney's Treaty(look it up) it provided some economic stability while improving spanish and american relations. it also outlined american boundaries helping regulate western expansion
- Policy making is how governments implement certain rules and regulations for the good of the economy. One example could be how Deng Xiaoping implemented China's open-door policy, which encouraged foreign trade and investment in China. This is one of the reasons why China's economy is performing so strongly.
- Policy making is when the government enacts or modifies policies to try and solve problems facing the nation. Foreign Policy: Economic sanctions against Iran to try and stop them from making a nuclear weapon. Domestic Policy: Welfare programs, when the cost of these programs like food stamps, WIC, or any other kind of government assistance becomes too expensive the government either raises taxes to compensate for the extra costs or makes it harder to qualify for government assistance. Economic policy: Federal funds rate and minimum wage are examples of economic policy. They are policy changes that are primarily designed to impact the economy.
