- 1. Pull out the men in Iraq - this war costs billions a year to fund. 2. Put a hold on NASA space exploration until economy is better. 3. No increase in CIA funding. those 3 will lessen the pressure on budget. I will come up with a another economic stimuli and increase the spending on infrastructure. the current economic stimuli will not be able to sustain economic activity. Instead of cutting interest rates I will increase interest rates at the same time i start the pump priming activity and implement the infrastructure project. I would prefer to have the full impact of the housing loans to come out rather than have them come out slowly, I would prefer to put the economy in recession let the problems come so I can have a clear way how to deal with the problems. The only hindrance is the forthcoming election. The problem with my policy is that on global scale, many countries would object because of the effect on their economy but what is better, push the economy into a recession now so all the problems would come out then you have a clear picture which way to go, or what they are doing now trying to stop the inevitable.? the more the prolong this the more the economy will have a hard time to recover and might even get into a deeper recession.
