What are the coservative and liberal stances on economic policy?
Public Comments
- They both want to spend money we dont have. Liberals want to spend domestically on things like Social Security or bailing out stupid people who thought their home was value when it was really overinflated. the conservatives want to spend on things like on the unnecessary Iraq war and foreign policy related. In the end they both comprimise and print the money from the Federal Reserve which devalues our dollar, runs up inflation, and wipes the middle class off and then gets some socialist elected who makes the problem worse.
- For politicians, conservatives would cut taxes for the wealthier people who pay taxes. Liberals would give benefits to less wealthy people who pay little or no taxes. It is an argument over who actually drives the economy: big spenders and business or workers and consumers. For the Federal Reserve conservatives try to keep interest rates up to hold down inflation. Liberals tend to want looser monetary policy and lower interest rates.
