How about the underestimate of an extra 1,000,000,000 jobs lost?
Seems like that's more than just a missed estimate. "ob losses during the recession may have been underestimated by close to a million jobs. So instead of employers cutting just over 7 million jobs from their payrolls since the economic downturn began in December 2007, it's expected that the Labor Department's new estimate will be a loss of 8 million jobs. "It's an enormous understatement of the severity of the crisis," said Heidi Shierholz, labor economist with the Economic Policy Institute, a union-supported think tank. "It confirms that things were actually worse on the ground than what the reports suggested." The new reading will come when the economists at the department's Bureau of Labor Statistics release their annual revision of U.S. payrolls from April 2008 through March of 2009 Friday, using data that wasn't available as the monthly readings were being estimated and reported." http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Recessions-job-losses-likely-cnnm-1998556151.html?x=0

- How did we lose 1 billion jobs with only 300 million people ? .....LMFAO..... FAIL I sense this question will soon be deleted by the asker.... By the way....those are job figures from last year dude....... You blame Obama for inheriting those losses ? You must think McCain and Palin would have had some magic wand to save all those jobs instantly without spending a dime....right ? get a clue please...
- It was a rounding error. The Labor Department was using that new Mayan Math they learned from the Department of Education.
- We have lost 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Jobs since Obama took office.
- A billion people?
- Nothing to worry about. Just another million unemployed. it's just a minor speed bump in the Obamagenda.
- Heh republican math is hilarious. Six zero's professor brain freeze.
- One billion jobs? What?
- Delete the last 3 digits, but yes I agree with your message. We need to get back to business giving people jobs
- It means this recovery has been stronger than previously thought. These job losses occurred in 08 starting 10 months before Obama took office, and only 3 months into Obama's Presidency. This means Obama inherited a worse economic mess than we all thought.... As for it being suspicious, There is nothing else to suggest Bush was doing anything to influence job reports at the time.... this is a typical revision that occurs each year.... the numbers are likely larger than normal because the recession was massive. edit: TO THOSE BLAMING OBAMA, did it occur to you to check the dates?... These job losses are being counted long before Obama took office to only 3 months into his presidency.
- I think you have a few too many zeros on there. But then again folks like you tend to like the "0" key so maybe you just got a little over excited and carried away.
- I get the million/billion error. (so should everyone else) It in no way negates the trickery perpetrated against all of us. Expect the same fuzzy math come campaign/election time (until it's over) in an attempt to soften reality through falsehoods in order to retain the complicit with blood stained hands Heads will roll ... all incumbents, regardless the party.
